Scenes that seemed to not do much to push the narrative forward. There were plenty of places where the story might have been trimmed down. Weighing in at almost one thousand pages this is a very big tome, and I don’t think it needed to be this size. The sheer size of the finale was daunting and I ending up not getting to it until a while after it was published and the hype had already died down.
